"Queen Afua wrote this book called Sacred Woman, and she talks about creating these compartments in your house for different things. She calls the bathroom the 'hydrotherapy room,' she calls the bedroom the 'rejuvenation room,' and the kitchen is like the 'pharmacy.' I only read that about six months ago, but I’ve always done that.

In my home, the kitchen is filled with herbs. We have a pantry in the hall where the food is, because there's no food in the kitchen except for the refrigerator. And even in the refrigerator, there are jars of the concoctions that I make. That is where we go to literally heal ourselves from sickness."
